Dreadful Day Ever
It all started with my case of terrible hair. I couldn't do it to look presentable. As I was dashing out the door, I trippedover and spilled all over my new shoes. To make matters worse, I was completely behind schedule for work.
I flustered. My {boss|mentor|was absolutely furious. I attempted to explain, but it was no use.
The rest of the day was even worse. was a catastrophe. I stay awake.
By the time I got home, I was exhausted. This day, this horrific day will be forever remembered as a day to forget.

It all started out terribly with a simple mishap/incident/screw-up. But then it went from bad to absolutely terrible. A series/chain/cascade of unfortunate/awful/disastrous events unfolded/occurred/piled on top each other, leaving me feeling like I was in a nightmare/horror movie/comedy of errors. It's the kind of situation where you just want to throw your hands up.
